Anyone here ever experiment with repackaging some products.
For example I am going to try to put salt and pepper in a soda straw and then seal the ends so I can carry them easier and a little more waterproof.
Any comments?

I have taken salt & pepper & had film canisters.
I line the canister with stretch wrap, fill with salt, twist the top closed stuff it in the canister & put lid on.
It worked good, after 3 days i opened to use & the salt & pepper were still dry & ready for use. Smile
The straw would work good as well. It would be sealing the ends that might be tricky.
Good idea though.

Good idea Very Happy

Tip for sealing straws:
Grab the end of the straw with pliers so 2mm or 3mm is exposed and melt it with a lighter Wink

Good idea with the straw. Never would have thought of that.

Thanks, Tfisher!

I used a lighter to open a bag of milk once- the whole bag tasted like acid. Wink

More recently, I've used one of those flip top gum containers to take tea bags when I go out. A Tupperware container and a few Ziplocs is another good way to make your food compact.
