Dan Hartley Moose Roast |
|
3lbs, moose or venison roast
Worchestershire sauce
1 dry onion soup mix
3 Tbsp, hot water
1 cup cold water
Pour cold water into 12 inch dutch oven. Add the roast. Using hot water, make a thick paste with onion soup mix.
Paint the paste over the roast. Sprinkle Worchestershire sauce over roast, Cook over medium heat for about 2 hours.
Serves 6 to 8 people. Dang good. I had this about 2 years ago. Hopfully this year my friend gets another Moose.

Drummer, you're making me hungry!
And it's only breakfast time!
I'm going to have to go to Cabela's for a venison bratwurst... closest I can get today to venison. Don't know where I can stir up any moose.
You Canadians have all the luck.
