I carry a titanium spoon and fork as everyday carry items, but I have seen some Campers/Hikers using Chop Sticks.
Anyone use these or at least try them, what is your opinion?

Thanks

I love Sushi so i have pretty good skill with them. Bambo ones i think would be the best to pack.
They take up very little space. Good option. Cool

It'd be cool to learn to use those because then you could quickly make your own utensils Very Happy

I think making your own instruments is a great way to pass the time while camping or even at home.

Just for fun I have made "throwing sticks" and have tested them to think I might be able to snag a rabbit with one if need be.

I plan on making myself a set of "woodware" while on my 5 day or so camping trip. I will have some free time once I get things setup so I plan on doing that as I will have a nice choice of green wood.

If you want to talk with some people who love to carve spoons and forks and knives check out:

www.bushcraftuk.com and check out there forums section, the DYI (do it yourself) they have like 20 threads of people saying "my first spoon". They recommend a "curved knife" but I don't know exactly what they are referring to.

I use cho[psticks all the time. I have a pair of "travel" chopsticks, but for the most part, I just make a pair when I need to eat!

I have a "spatuloon" (spatula/spoon) that I made some years ago and make chop sticks when I need more dexterous utensils... the odd time I've made thongs to help flip stuff.

I think its kinda useless myself to do so. If you have the money to invest into an item you may as well just pick up a hobo knife. I've always wanted one but havent had 50 bucks to throw at one Laughing

And now I just noticed you can pick one up at cabela's now for 15 bucks. All the more reason to just carry one of those over chopsticks for me Laughing
