Coxheath Mountain (picture heavy) |
|
I am not sure of the elevation, but it takes a solid hour and a half to hike up and back down this mountain on the trail. I went up the other day with dad but it was far too foggy to get good distance pictures. It was sunny out today so I went up alone to get a few from the top. At the top the department of natural resource put a cabin that you can stay in if you call and book it. it has a solar panel on top that powers lights inside, pretty cool! Also they have propain ready lamps, an axe, bow saw, other saw... , sledge hammer, normal hammer, 4 bunks, cupboards, a table with four chairs, everything you could want! Anyway, take a look at the pics and let me know what you think
Hope you like the pics.

I like that little cabin. I see someone has been spliting the wood on the cement slab righ on the corner for the fireplace, tisk, tisk, should be done outside on another log.
The last pics over looking the land, where is that ? your town ?.

you can see my town... sorta. You can see a subdivision clearly in one of them... the 2nd to last one in the middle. My street is a little more over to the right. The first street you can clearly see that is pretty short. But yeah, you can see downtown sydney in the 5th and 6th last photo's. Actually you can see the sydney harbor and north sydney too, but it's tuff to see in the pictures. But yeah, the trail is a 2 min drive from my house.

Looks cool, do you think you'll ever stay there?
The pictures of the rocky part reminded me of a place that I went to before. It wasn't a mountain, but it was a big hill.
PS, good luck to anyone who has dial up.

Cool pics, Daffy! That water fall is awesome. Is there a road going to the cabin? How did they get the cabin there?

Great pics! I'd love to spend the night for sure, looks like a pleasant hike too. I loved the waterfall and the tree shots, plus there's a certain beauty to foggy pictures I've always thought.

Honestly I think they took it in by helecopter... Dad thought so when I talk'd to him about it.
I haven't spent the night there yet but I will some time, plan to by the end of the summer.
The hike is plesant, but it's really steep at first and it takes the good out of you!! But it's great.
