Post RIP 32 Virginia Tech students Reply with quote
This is a really sad story, I pray for their families. RIP

"The Virginia Tech massacre was a school shooting by Cho Seung-hui, a 23-year-old resident alien from South Korea, who made two attacks at two different time periods and locations on April 16, 2007, on the campus of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States. Government officials, the university, and most news sources have confirmed the deaths of 33 people including Cho,[3][4][5][6][7] making it the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.[1][5][8] Cho is reported by authorities as being solely responsible for killing all 32 people[9] before committing suicide.[10][11]"

A horrible incident, for sure. I must have left my two cents on half a dozen blogs by now so I'll save you the rant. I'm a little curious about where you got that quote though. The guy had a greencard, he was a legal US resident, not an "alien".

Wikipedia, of course, not always 100% accurate.

I'm sure it was changed to make him look worse or something.

I agree that is terrible. I dont se ehow taking the lives of so many others will "reduce" the pain.

that was terrible. Well I say that's one less maniac in the world. but why the heck would a person kill 32 innocent people just because of their own problem!!?! we can only hope the families will find some kind of comfort and get though their losses.

I don't think its really possible to apply normal logic to his actions. I doubt that he was a regular healthy man who thought through his situation, weighed the pros and cons, and decided the best thing to do was massacre as many people as he could. He was obviously very sick in the mind, extremely irrational, and outside of any of our ability to understand. It's a senseless tragedy with no rhyme or reason.

I believe you are confused about what a "resident alien" is:

Resident Alien
1. an alien who has legally established residence in the U.S.
2. an alien who has legally entered the U.S. as an immigrant with the intention of becoming a citizen.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/resident%20alien

Apologies. The word alien just has illegal connotations when I hear it in that context.

yeah your right. there is no need to have hate in our hearts. I feel bad for his family and him. it's sad he had a hard life. we can not hate others. no matter what they do.

I dont hate anyone, I cant say i've ever hated anyone because it is really hard for me to do that. However I can honestly say what this kid did was wrong (obviously) and thats why I would never respect such a person. I had a hard time looking at his photo because he disgusts me. I sitll dont hate him because I dont know him, but I can bare to look at such a person.
