Anyone know how to add a link onto wikipedia? We used to have a link from the survivorman page to here, but it disapeared once the URL changed. Anyone know how to update it>

...This may be my fault.
The survivorman article on wikipedia used to have an external link to this forum with the old url. That's how I discovered this place myself, actually. When the url changed, I went and updated the link on wikipedia. This must have shown up on the recent changes page, and someone noticed it. Technically, it is against wikipedia policy to link to discussion forums. Since Trooper has said he knows Les personally and Les does respond to the questions posted in the FAQ here, I think there is an argument for this site having a certain amount of authority, thus deserving a link on wikipedia. I'll put the link back up with a brief explanation and hopefully it stays.
Sorry for drawing attention to it!

Ok, the link is back up and I posted in the talk page for the article with my arguments for authority. However, if it goes down again, and reasons are given for why it violates the policy, I won't be reposting it any more. It's a shame, like I said that's how I found this site in the first place, but I'm a strong believer in Wikipedia.
Actually, the Survivorman article on Wikipedia is not very good. It would be cool if we took the time to improve it. Editing Wikipedia is extremely easy, just click the "edit" link at the top of the section you want to change or update, or use the "edit this page" link at the top of the page. The code is quite simple and you can see how to do links and such just by looking. You don't need an account to edit, though it is free and easy to sign up for one. If you are editing the article, keep in mind it is an encyclopedia and anything you add must have a neutral point of view (no "Les Rules!") and be supported (directly from the show, no speculation). The big list of survival tips looks particularly awful and needs to be cleaned up.
