So for the past few days,we've been entertained by watching a groundhog play around in our backyard.
But when the wife noticed that her plants were getting chewed up,I knew it was time for me to spring into action.

I went out back-heavily armed-to save the garden from this evil beast:


Well...that didn't work.
So I made a nice , functional fig.4 & set a heavy landscape stone on top of it


Then I was reminded,gently, that we have some very curious cats & that my daughter prefers them fat...not flat.
So I replaced the stone with a box:


He got close & even got into the trap a couple times yesterday,but just flipped the box over & left:


Oh,by the way,this is what a groundhog looks like when it's laughing at you:


I'm going to keep trying different traps for awhile...it's kinda fun actually.
He can be my Trap Test Dummy.
The fig.4 worked real well,but the box wasn't the right choice.
