Winter Gun, Summer Gun

How many folks here carry different guns in winter and summer due to game, clothing or tempature variations.

I have a personal protection firearm that is always with me. It is the one gun I know I will always have in any crisis situation, wilderness or urban. It never changes. Small enough to fit in my pants pocket in summer and swollowed up by my parka pocket in winter. Chambered for .357, it is sufficient for any need in the eastern U.S. where I reside.

It may not be the best choice in survival guns, but it is the one I know i will have. The mix and match choices in long guns will varry due to any one of one thousand influences, but the pocket pistol will always be present.

Here we are only allowed to carry high power rifles (centerfire) after deer season starts in the fall untill march 31st. We are only allowed to carry .22 cal rifles from the start of rabbit season until march 31st. We are allowed to carry a 12 guage shotgun loaded with no larger than #4 buck year round, or with a single projectile only from the beginning of deer season to march 31st. During deer season to carry a rifle or shotgun loaded with a single projectile you must posess a valid, unused, deer tag. You could also carry them if you had a registerd bait site for bears from the beginning of the bear season to the end of march 31st.

When guns become outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

Now its going to be a lee enfield, while deep in the woods. Anything for fun is going to go to the SIG mosquito.

There is one nice thing about being military now, I can take what ever the hell I want in the woods out here. Laughing
