Well after 5 years of looking at it I finally broke down and oredered a Marlin 983s .22 Magnum. Just need to wait for it to come in and shoot some rounds through it. It will be my main gun for rabits, fox's, and coyotes within a hundred yards. Can't wait, and I will take some pictures! here is the one from the website.

Yeah, I've allweys loved that little gun, never got one though.

great little gun from what I have heard, it is recommended by many outdoors enthusiasts and even magazines for a survival rifle, relatively small and easy to store, rounds you can get for fairly cheap, and its good for a variety of small game.

I just got email confermation, it's been shipped. Grand total to my door $498.00 CAD. Not bad at all.
400 rounds cost me about 75 bucks after tax... can't wait to shoot them all off the first day I get to the range!
So now here's the quesion and I want some opinions...
... do I get a silver scope for it or go with a traditional black one?

IT CAME TODAY!~~!!!!!! I wont be taking it to the range until the scope and weaver base come in... which should be middle of next week.
I can not believe how fast this came in the mail. All of my hunting purchases will be from "wholesale sports" untill they mess something up. I'm that impressed that I am calling in tomorrow to thank them for the cstomer service as well as speed of delivery.

Well the scope and base finally arrived... but I forgot that my spare rings were at my uncles. I will be getting them from him Sunday and mounting the scope on. Pics will be up soon as i get it on! Can't wait to sight it in
