i'd say get it and remove the first aid guide, tweezers, and scisors. you will have your knife with you that will do the tasks of a scisor and tweezers. with the new space available in the kit add a triangular bandage or two (for dilocations/breaks). I'd add some extra alcohol pads (double as fire starters in a pinch) or add some antibacterial lotion (high alcohol content, burns for a while and lights easily... i actually used an empty lighter to spark a small puddle of this stuff before) the lotion could also replace the peroxide pump, yielding more room. you could add tensor bandages. you could add more guase. you could add anything. also, take a first aid course if you have not yet.

hope that helps.

I agree 100%. But before I get to that let me say the kit is nice, and I would say its a go. Got lots of stuff.

Now Doug I agree because every kit u buy (thats large) has scissors, tweesers and a guide, which prove to be useless. All they do is take up room. The sciessors dont cutt, the tweesers really SUCK and the guide is huge and its better to know your stuff before you use it. Ya get rid of them, replace with more suppolies. Also 4 gloves, hmm thats a little much, one pair is ushally enough if its for 1 person, you cna always re stock. Also I think its the most important to have lots of bandage, and other things can be deacreased or replaced (Like cotton swabs, you don tneed many, infact I never use any ever)

I would keep the tweezers - They would probably be better than the ones on my SAK and they take up very little room. The gloves? Not sure what vinyl means, but if they are latex, they could be used to carry water in a pinch? Or they can be replaced with a couple of pairs of latex...
