Here's something scary: I might not have a Jack-o-lantern for Halloween!
I took this photo today of my garden. All the plants are finished exceot for this pumpkin vine:
It starts near the upper right (The leaves have died on the first 3 feet of it.), comes to the front, then curves around towards the upper left. It's going strong, but no pumpkin. It's about 20' long now. Last year I got a pumpkin from a vine half this long. I grew this one from a seed from last year's pumpkin, which I grew from a seed from the previous year's pumpkin. So I was hoping to keep the lineage going, but it doesn't seem likely that this vine will produce a pumpkin at this late stage.
BTW - That's a wishing well ornament that I put a solar light in. It looks like the vine is trying to crush it like an anaconda.
