Yeah, poor Phil. Confused

He probably won't get to fish anymore. Sad

I also pity the greenhorn that had to wear green horns. Laughing

Ya it was serious because he stopped fishing and went back to the harbor. Well he wanted to keep fishing but his sons found out and got him to change his mind

Man I love the show!
I’ve always wanted to give it a try since I first heard the stories about it in the 70’s.
But the whole fishing industry went down the tubes in the 80’s so I never bothered going to Washington State to try and get a job.
Crab fishing on the Gulf of Mexico just wouldn’t be the same.
Met a few of the captain’s last October at a charity dinner event (had the best king crab I’d ever eaten, go figure). Ol’ Jonathan Hillstrand was having a lot of fun. He was hugging and kissing any lady who got close (he was drunk!!!). The whole evening he had a crowd of women around him all waiting for a kiss. You’d of thought he was a rock star. Saw one old woman come up and French him. The fun he was having was infectious.
Jonathan’s been to town a couple of times since then so I got to see him again a couple months ago. This time it was just him at the same restaurant for a publicity event. He was sober and more conserved. He’s just as affable in person as he is one the show.
