my folding saw is 4oz lol.
5 oz is good. But i have never seen these tools anywhere ? i dont think they are even avaliable in B.C Confused

I agree with troop, I would stick to my wood saw, folding saw that is Very Happy

Isn't this similar to the wire saw that Les used in the plane crash episode?? I think it is, and his broke in just a few minutes. I remember Les commenting that he wouldn't recommend it, or something like that.

I tried one years ago while I was out in the woods, and it quickly snapped. Maybe it's materials have improved since then, but I'd definitely prefer a small folding camp saw.

They make ones with an actual chainsaw blade on it, and 2 heavy duty nylon handles. Don't know how well it works though. I have a folding gerber saw, and that thing works amazing. Razz

I think the problem with using a chainsaw chain would be that it would get stuck. When its on a chainsaw its moving fast enough that it isnt as much of a problem...
