In this poignant and personal documentary Les Stroud and Sue Jamison, along with their two
young children, share their experience leaving a world of electricity bills and water problems
and going 'off the grid' as they move to their acreage in Northern Ontario - escaping the
clutches of government controlled electricity and water.

Regular Price: $29.99

While renegotiating doing another season of Survivorman, Les Stroud is producing two one-hour
specials for Canada's OLN (Outdoor Life Network) called Off The Grid with Les Stroud. This new
and captivating show will highlight Les' family's move to their 150 acre bush lot with solar power,
rain harvesting systems, and many new technologies for living an energy-conscious and
self-sustaining life. Watch Les and his family resurrect an old barn into a modern day efficient home.
It’s a family effort as his entire family helps out in making this project come alive. This is a great
film for this time period as the world is trying to transform to a more environmentally friendly society.

If you go to the link I posted, you will see the racoons and past pot farm stuff. Running time is something like 1hr 4 minutes, with no commercials.

I think the time spent on rebuilding the house that was there was worth it.
I do finishing work, & to already have a sound foundation & walls is a great savings & head start.
And its a sweet piece of land as well. Cool
