The Complete Book of Outdoor Survivalby J. Wayne Fears (Ironic, his last name is fears and its a survival book Laughing ) : decent book. Really thick with a lot of information. Contains almost everything from signaling to identifying edible plants. I suggest picking it up if you need a book that covers everything.

The Encyclopedia of Survival Techniques: Wasn't a big fan of this book personally. Techniques are sorted by reigon, which for me wouldnt be too much use, I only need techniques for Upper MN, I dont need Desert or Tropical techniques lol If you travel a lot though, or want to become an absolute expert pick it up.

The SAS Tracking & Navigation Handbook: Fantastic. Teaches every single navigation style under the sun, including using the sun itself. Also teaches how to make a magnet from a needle and some still water, estimate the amount of time left in a day, and using a GPS. Has a section on medical problems and first-aid. Tracking section teaches how to track animals as well as people (Which could be a vital tool if you end up being the search and rescue party rather than the person needing rescuing. Teaches evasion and stealth as well, invaluable skills for hunting with only a knife. Pick it up, I can almost guarantee you will learn something new.

Thats all for now, I'll pick up more later as it pleases me Smile
