We studied that in my class. For wisconsin the starting salary is $19.50 an hour, and there's overtime too. Cool

Les started out as a garbage collector, but there's got to be some way of skipping past that. Surprised

Pay depends highly on area and level, state vs federal, etc. I am not trying to discourage anyone, but remember that you spend just as much time behind a desk doing paperwork as you do actually in the field. I wanted to be a park ranger for awhile, but when you strip away the, for lack of a better word, romanticized belief about what it is like, it wasn't what I was looking for. I still have hopes of working at a survival school teaching children, but I am getting a degree and learning to be an electrician as a back up and to give me a way to pay off college loans hopefully quickly. Good luck with whatever you decide.

ps...make sure it isnt going to ruin the woods for you, you love spending all your time in them, but would it be the same if you had to for a job? Just a thought

Informational make around 23,000, Park Cops if you will, make around 46,000. Thats just what the average stats where last time I looked. I really want to hear peoples ideas on this too. I wanted to be a park ranger but I've heard lots of bad things about it, anyone have any ideas?
