Well here is the stuff i carry all the time on any Hike anywhere Cool
1. Flint/Magstick
2. Aluminum Whistle
3. Wood matches
4. Compass
5. Paper/pen
6. Baton
7. Folding saw
8. Frost knife
9. Trail marker tape > Bright Pink < Shocked
10. Poop paper
11. First aid kit
12. S.A.S. book
13. Gerber Axe with knife in handle
14. Bug repelant/After bite
15. Food: power bars, etc
16. Tarp 6'x8'
17. Survivorman Bandana
18. 2 litre Blader
19. 100' paracord
20. Tinder pouch
21. Binoculars
22 Towel

Good idea to bring a SAS handbook, i'll bring my ultimate survival guide too, i'll put it in my water proof baggie

^ Its nice to have the SAS book for odvious reasons, but also, just for something to read.
And whata better book to have to read while out in the woods Cool

For day hikes and EDC, I carry one of these:

They're tiny (about the size of your thumb), inexpensive, very lightwight, but bright enough to light a trail or a campsite in an emergency.
