Well it's time to move on & maybe do something else with this trap setup.
The critters didn't like it too well,but my wife thought it was nice.

have you guys heard of one stick deadfall, I think you cut the stick in half put a rock or wood on top of the halved stick. but I am not sure about the trigger stick. just wondering.

This is good because it doesn't take a pack full of tools to make.
I think this is what the idea is:

Well,as luck would have it,a creature that was pretty wild & gnarly looking came a'creepin' towards the trap as I was taking the pics:
Nailed it on the 1st try:
Now I just need to get his brother,Lefty,to come around
I'll bait it & leave it up for awhile & see if any real stuff is interested.
Seems to work though.
Thanks Linsley That Leatherman Wave of yours should do a good job on this.

From the drawing,it looks like it might work like this:
It's fairly easy to trip with a stick,but I'm not sure how it would work with an animal.
FUN project though...I like trying these things out whether they work out or not.
Gotta do something with all those knives

Thats great CliffN. Simple and effective. A person could do this on a large scale as well.
Large stone & bigger trigger, get ya a Rabbit or grouse.
