My friends cousin just got a motorcycle because they had big trucks to feed. Turns out about a month later one of them died because he got hit by a car. Keep in mind that motorcycles are a lot more dangerous than cars.

Here's just a fun fact I thought I'd throw in about oil.
When they first discovered oil they only used it to get kerosene to replace the whale oil for their lamps. In the production of kerosene gasoline was an unwanted byproduct. So they took that unwanted gasoline and dumped it in rivers. You could actually light the rivers because it floats on water.

Well,... fuel prices here are now, in the down town Vancouver area are 135.00 per liter.
And inland they are at best 130.00 With no end in site.
Id like to say i feel sorry for the people that drive SUV's with big v8's or worse v10 just for pleasure but im not.
If these people choose to buy these vehicles in stead of something with say a v6 or 4 cyclinder then they have no righ to B i t c h about fuel cost at all. They had the option at the time of purchase, and they choose gas sucking pigs to drive, ... then they have to deal with a huge fuel bill every month.
Now for people that need trucks, 3/4 ton etc to work a ranch or are doing business thats differant, those vehicles are " NEEDED" to get the job done & make an income. Its the people that buy these gas pigs for pleasure

That's the way I feel about it, too. I bought the Malibu back in 2001 with an eye towards getting better fuel economy than I did with my old F-150. I replaced the V6 Malibu with the 4 cylinder Ford Fusion, again to gain better fuel economy. When gasoline hits $5.00 per gallon here in the states, I would guess that you will be able to buy a used SUV or 4x4 pickup truck really cheaply!
For the last few years used 4 cylinder cars were common and fairly cheap to buy. With demand going up that may change. I'm looking forward to the day when the fuel cell cars or electric cars become truly practical, affordable, and widely available. Lets hope that day comes REAL soon!

One of my dad's friends is lucky, because he got into the moped selling buisness before the gas prices went up. I'm sure he's doing real well now. I remember when I was younger I wanted to buy a truck. I guess if you have a big car it'll do the same as a truck if you don't need the bed. You can still pull trailors fine, and it gets better gas mileage. Some people just gotta have their truck even if they could get away with a car.

Theres one lot that sells just trucks, & he has ones no older than 6 years. So, you can see that people that once had these dumped them, gas goes up= food goes up etc,etc

Gas is now holding at $ 1.48 per litre & will jump 2.4 cents on July 3'rd.
Just our of town, about 20 minutes its 10 cents cheaper. So if im heading east to hike or fish etc i throw in $ 25.00 or fill it.
