Field sharpening made EASY. |

So here are a couple of the options I referred to previously.
Diamond block-Leather strop-Cardboard:
A little green compound on the inside cover of a notebook:
Or on a small strip of leather-Drag the blade SPINE FIRST along the cardboard or leather:
And you will have a nicely sharpened blade:
All of these sharpeners are easily carried in a kit or a pocket ...nice & small & light weight.
No need to apply a lot of pressure,just a light touch will do it.

Using various methods to sharpen your knives is a good thing to know.

Nice. Thats why theres no excuse to NOT carry some sort of sharpener
{ thats a nudge for Mystick Spiral }

I also think you should carry a little diamond sharpening stone, coarse on one side and fine on the other.
