Seeing spots is a common occurrence in heat exhaustion.
A lot of guys working on construction sites get what is called "white-eyed". When they get really hot, their eyes open wider and their irises(colored part of the eye) constrict. When you look at them, you see more white, hence the term "white-eyed". It's kind of like spacing out. You can see it in their whole face. They have that "deer-in-the-headlights" stare. Like this >
The best thing to do if this happens is get out of the sun, get fluids into you(half-strength Gatorade is best), and get yourself wet so you can cool down from the evaporation.
You have to be careful with the heat. If you don't pay attention, you can overheat in a hurry, and if you don't cool down you can die.
When I get to a certain point, I just have to quit what I'm doing a take a break. Cool down and rest a minute.
