The Old Forum, coming back?

Well i've been talking with Les and he wants to get the old forum back up. Now I am not 100% sure yet whats going to happen exacally but I want thoughts on what you guys wanna do if this were do happen. I personally think I would notify everyone here and transfer over then shut this place down, but i'm not sure yet.

I need your thoughts, this is very important you reply.

GRRRR lol i would love to have the old forum back but after we have just rebuilt??? also im not sure if the peeps at wildsurvive would come back you might wanna post about that there too caus i dont wanna loose any of them. I think it would be a great idea tho.

I'm not sure, I have made a promise to myself that I would not disturb them to avoid "community tearing".

I'm not sure whats going to happen, its really an awkward time because this place is really just starting to kick off.

Even if this place shuts down I am going to keep it up for a bit because I need to copy everything from it, I might make a site one day and there is a lot of good info on here.

It's been what, 9 months since Les shut his down? The problems of adult content would probably still persist unless be gets a full time monitor for it. If he does start it up again I would keep this one going as a back up just incase the same old same old happens again.

i just think that i would HATE to loose here and i am here and at wildsurvive i just dont know i go back and forth on the forums i mean i could do that with wildsurvive and les but i just think that i like this place just the way it is and i was just getting into posting more and stuff like that

I've got mod and admin exp. I've been a mod of a board with 100+ Active Members, and an admin of a board with 20+ Members. Tell Les that if you want. Plus, I've got my own PC, Love Survivorman, And am homeschooled, So I can be on the computer pretty much any time.

But yeah, The old boards need to come back! Very Happy

i mean it would be cool if they came back but it wouldnt be the same

I see keep the ideas coming, this is really helping me since i'm the guy with the hammer on this case.

So far I plan on keeping his forum up no matter what, I dont have to pay anything for it so theres no reasn to shut it down. I am in communication with Les disscussing the future of the Official forum. Not sure how Wildsurvive will respond to that, they seem to have a good community going there.

i haven't read these, but i'd like to see the new forms back, everything here transferred there, and this site just being one big link to the other forum. like "site has been moved here" and have the link.

I hang out both here and wildsurvive and at WS they have LOTS of people they are dead at times and then they can have ALOT

i'm also not gonna ask to be a mod or admin or any other power person. I think those powers should be given to people who have shown to have reasonable sensability when dealing with problems. Also somoene who can consistantly come onto the site. I have about 5 people from here in mind who i would like to see as mod. IF you would like to know who send me a pm.

I do like it here, (not at wild survive, traiters they is Laughing

) but if les's offical site started up again i think we would migrate back there.if you would keep this site up, id come often, but les's site gets alot more pubblicity and its not like we would loose any members. Maby if les could just link his site to here?

Well I would have notifcation of the transfer of members. However I cannot transfer the info so we would ahve to restart, which would kinda such. Les said he can make this th eoffical forum if I wanted, but I cant do that because this site has a fairly low limit. If tons of more people came here it can be down to overuse of bandwidth.

give the regulars a week with both sites open and everything will be transferred.
