I'm a little embarassed. Embarassed Those are some cool looking walking sticks, and I use an old broom handle with a crutch foot as the base, and about 100' of 550 cord wrapped around it. Laughing

I have an aluminum trekking pole. Mainly serves as my adjustable pole on my tarp shelter. Wink

Haha I use this funny pole I got for xmas from a relative, I think you can get them on ebay.
It's a hollow metal pole with a rubber grip and a rubber crutch thing at the base.. inside the pole are 4 plastic tubes and in the tubes is survival gear, I';ve added a few things.. but inside my pole right now I have..
survival blanket
20+ advil (for hikes with the girl Razz) hah
bandaging
small amount of rope
mini maglight flashlight
mag/flint stick
lighter
20 waterproof windproof matches
lots of first aid stuff like burn cream, polysporin, anti sting wipes etc
whistle
serrated knife
signal mirror
fishing hook, sinkers and line
lots of cotton balls
i dont remember the rest but im sure theres more! haha
its surprisingly NOT all that heavy.. not as light as wood, but i kinda think what you get in comparison is worth it.. not to mention a big metal battering ram never hurts as a nice blunt weapon either haha
