 | | Hey guys! My PC crashed a while ago and then i had a few doctor/hospital appointments and wasnt doing too much (mild anemia) and didn't think of the forums for a while. I've been out with my sleds pretty often lately though. Had to abandon the project because i wasnt able to leave the house. Maybe i should snowshoe out there and clear the roof off. |
Hey man nice to see you back.

while waiting for OGTL's shelter pics, I thought I would post a pic of mine
It was my best shelter so far, but sadly I never spent a full night in it. When I tried, I didnt have enough insulation and it started snowing...needless to say, after 5 hours, it got a bit chilly. When I checked it out today, it is pretty far gone, the debris has sloughed off of one side a bit, exposing the ribbing and probably letting plenty of snow and water in Oh well, at least I made the shelter and it was on its way to being home. Maybe next time
Click on it to enlarge it, sorry I am still getting used to this posting pictures thing.

Hi Firekid, I still remember you from Les' old forum. I didn't post much on it but I read a lot.

I tried to make it back out there on the 9th. Snow was up to my thigh, I stopped for a fire a little while before the shelter, but my feet were frozen Here's a couple pics anyway.
