Arrow stop ideas |
|
I haven't made one yet but I would guess that if you get a box about 6" wide x 2ft x 2ft and spray a can of that expanding foam insulation into it.... that you would end up with a pretty good portable backstop.... hmmmmmmm.

Sound like a good idea. When I made a target for my crossbow, the bolts went through it

I was thinking of just using a cardboard box, Dave... that stuff is pretty sticky and would be difficult to break out of a mold.

YA. On the opposite side there is a small screw thing that holds it in place.
You just un-screw it, pop out the old vitals and replace. Not sure the cost of the vitals ? i think about $ 35.00/40.00
Worth it i think. Take it into the bush set it up in a cool location, and draw the Bows on it

I have gone out on Bow hunting trips, but never have had the chance yet myself to hunt.
Im going to start with small game. Rabbit, grouse kind of thing.
To make the vitals would be kind of hard because you would have to make it fit that spot really well.
It could be done, but i have no idea where i could buy the material they have for there vitals.
I think anything else would not last very long. And you would be replacing it very often.

Go buy an old pillow with Hollo-fil in it.
Stop arrows quite nicely.
Cheap too.

I've heard of people hanging a chunk of carpet for a target. When the arrow hits the carpet swings and absorbs all of the energy. And the arrow rests halfway through the carpet
