We were discussing this on the WS forum, and I think I'm gonna have to have one. I think I want the Skeletool, not the Skeletool CX, but we'll have to see. You can NEVER have too many Leatherman Tools!

Ain't that the truth! Cool

By the way, if anybody wants a new Leatherman Wave, the going price for one with a sheath is around $45-$50 on eBay. Very Happy

I'm still trying to land one. Wink

The suggested retail price for the regular version is $72
The suggested retail price for the CX carbon fiber handles is $96.

You can get a better deal on this website for the standard version:
http://www.leathermantooloutlet.com/skeletool.htm

And a better deal on the CX too:

http://www.leathermantooloutlet.com/skeletool_cx.htm

I have 2, One is an American Camper, yeah yeah, its not a leatherman but its been almost 9 years now and its never failed me yet, nor has it gotten dull. My other one is strange. The case AND the multi tool dont have a single clue as to the brand or model, but I've had it almost as long and it hasn't failed me either!

I wear a Leatherman Wave also Shocked

But...I have a Schrade and a Gerber sitting on the table in front of me as I type this? So would I look dumb wearing all 3 multitools at the same time? Embarassed

My belt is already weighed down with everything but the kitchen sink. I can probably set off metal detectors in Michigan when I walk out of the house Rolling Eyes

To me, they're ALL good to go. Schrade, Gerber, Leatherman, etc etc. I guess I wear the Wave because it seems to have the right combination of components in the smallest/lightest package. That's just my opinion. I really thing all 3 of the brands that I have are great. Just the Gerber doesn't have a built-in saw. Can you imagine that? What were they thinking when they put this Gerber together? Idea

Lawenforcement.

They DID specify to a more lawenforcement side of knife and tool owners, but that changed as the went down hill companywise.

Though their multitools are still nice tools and yes a saw is nice to have, use a Blast daily, and sometimes wear my wave, but as of rite now thats still in Nova Scotia.
