I made it back fine first week weather a couple of storms. but on Monday early Morning we had a monster storm. we heard about it Friday and on Sunday My dad and I went to seaside safeway for provisions ( peanut butter, jelly, bread. water) bought some flashlights because our power already went out from a smaller storm. so we hunkered down for the hurricane force winds making sandwiches buy flashlight. we bundled up with blankets and extra clothes hats mittens no heat. I had my B.O.B with me thank god and all of your suggestions it saved us. the Hurricane hit with winds up to 129 mph s I just stayed put in my bed. after a couple of days of more of the same in terms of eating and staying warm. we adventured out to see the damage we were supposed to leave that day but was trapped in town by fallen trees and floods. ate free food at a gromet restaurant and drove downtown and hundreds of big huge trees down roots and all never seen that much damage in my life. Still no power for 3 days now just huddled by the fireplace to stay warm. made it out back to Washington saw allot of flooding and thousands of trees just down. oh and no phone service whatsoever not even 911 so when they say to have stuff you need for 72 hours they mean it we were very much on our own but we made it. we also had a good sense of humor through the whole thing which is very important. thank you les and all the people at the forums for all your good advice Very Happy after 4 days without hot water I now know why Les is so excited about drinking or eating warm food and water the ground squirrel les ate in the canyon lands utah looked very good to me at that point. thanks you guys for helping me put together my B.O.B it came in handy my family was very impressed with me and my bag
Very Happy
