cool little bit of info |

The DH Russell Belt Knife (canadian knife)
"Russell Belt Knife - a variety of larger knives have been popular among Canadian soldiers, especially towards the last decades of the 20th century. The Russell belt knife is one example; this knife was actually standard issue to the Special Service Force of the 1970s and remained on inventory up into the 1980s. Other "Rambo" style knives and other similar items have also been carried as private purchase items throughout the Canadian military.
Steve Forth of 3 PPCLI further informs the webmaster that the knife is (as of 2002) still issued to all members of his battalion (at least) as part of "light infantry kit" by the Regimental Quarter Master Stores. Ed Storey also points out that the knife is also issued (again, as of 2002) to field engineers and para-trained soldiers. "

I think it is also called the " camp survival knife " but it's the one that they gave the " scouts " to use.
Its more than likely the same knife . Ive just heard that name used for it. I'll try to get a pic, it looks the same as the army one, just smaller and not as wide.

Hey Turd...
Well they are all good..
Alot of people prefer the Carbon blades,, however I haven't had much if any problem with the stainless ones, personally I just find them a little less maintainance then the carbon models,, however with that said since I started making knives,, I'm really starting to like carbon steel...
Anyway,, my favorites are the R1 and R3
The R1 is the second last in the picture and the R3 is the 3-4th knives..
Yes the bottom is the R300 Folder...
Great folder.. a nice handful of knife..

Hey Turd...
Yaa have been for a month or so now.. I've done about 40 blades,, however most of them are small keychain type Kiradashis Chilsel ground...
Most of those are flat ground, a few hollow ground,, and I've done a couple that are double hollow ground..
Right now I'm more concerned about getting my grinds down, then the fit and finish of them...
They are knives,, but very basis,, cord wrapped handles or skeletonized..
It coming along pretty good..
Hopefully by spring I will have some ready for sale...
I've got a couple done now,, will take some pictures once I get them finished and get sheaths on them...
Thanks for the interest..
