I know some insects are poisonous so here lets post insects that are edible. Also ways to cook them.

grasshoppers, just put em on a little stick and cook them over the fire until their backsides turn pink I believe it is. Supposed to taste like chicken Make sure you cook em cause they have a complete digestive track and can carry tapeworms.
Ants, in all stages, just make sure you get the black ones and not the red ones...you will know the difference if you put a red in your mouth...trust me Adults taste a little bitter from Formic Acid, and the eggs/maturing pupae taste kinda like grass. yes I know from experience on these ones, its my favorite meal on the go when it comes to eating bugs. Just make sure you bite the head cause that is the gift that keeps giving and will bite back.
Cabbage moths are supposedly edible, just remove wings prior to eating, otherwise a little chalky. Saw someone eating them, but didnt eat them myself.
If you really wanna tempt fate, there are oriental recipes for yellow jacket soup...but I would advise against it

I had a cricket and mealworm that were in candy, but all you tasted was sugar... yes I was disappointed.
As for the ants, yeah they aren't bad, just don't eat too many, I think it has something to do with the Formic Acid and your stomach acid, all I know is it didn't feel too good But it freaked a lot of people out and that is what I was going for so...I guess mission accomplished, once I got over the stomach feeling funny
