Actually looks pretty good, it definitely has the benefit of being usable with only one hand, so if you are injured, you don't need to use both hands to get a fire going...always a plus. I'm not sure I would charge $20 for that though, seems a bit pricey

I have one, I like a normal fire steel better, but if you had a busted hand this would be a life saver Very Happy

I think i'l stick to my normal fire steel. I have to pack an extra knife to use it (which is attached to it now) and an extra blade is always good! Looks interesting tho.

Hi all:
I got 4 of these from NRA a few years ago.
They do work well but aren't very durable.
I ended up breaking 2 of them by accident,but saved the rod part & attached a sawzall blade to them & now they look like this:

They still work well...better in fact than when they were new. They throw a BUNCH of sparks!!!
In fact I took the other 2 apart & did the same thing to them.
Doing this does take away the one handed approach to using them,but in a situation that I needed to use it with only one hand I suppose I could figure something out:

They are supposed to have a Lifetime Warrantee, but it's probably easier to just use it as a flint than to send it back. Smile
