Great tips, Winter, especially about taking the skin off, then working from the inside. Very Happy I'll likely do some sketches on paper to figure out what I want, then draw directly on the pumpkin so it looks right.

S-kid - That game looks cool. I'll go back to it when I get time; I'm just heading out. Pesky Zombies.
Lemily - That whole scene looks excellent. And you sure can carve a jack-o-lantern.
Turd - Keep trying. I got 340 something each of my first 2 tries.

Okay boys and ghouls, here's what I did this year. That's not me in the photos. There's a pole light on the lawn near the driveway, and I cut the pumpkin open on the bottom instead of the top so it would fit over the light. I first put white plastic bags over the fixture so you wouldn't see the light bulb. The teeth are Clorets. The eyes had red plastic bits that the wind blew away before I took the photos, so I photoshopped them in on the close up. In case you can't tell, it's the Grim Reaper. He's holding a sickle; those are gloves holding it. It got real windy as soon as I started putting it together, so it didn't look quite the way I wanted. I had to build it to withstand the wind.
