Troop, it's a holiday weekend up here...it's always slows down a bit during a major holiday. I'm an admin/mod on a couple other forums, one very big for the geek community...it's always the same this time of year. So no worries. It's all good. Smile

I haven't really had time to check out the new board there, took a quick peek this morning but I'm very busy this weekend with my inlaws in town. Although I must say I do like hosting for such a big holiday and cooking the meal and all that good stuff. I like to cook.

Yep i know what you mean, i'm used to it, i'm just always trying to thinkof something new to add to make it funner. THe epsiode rating thread was the last thing I added.

I'm on four message boards, but the other three are totally unrelated to this kind of board. One I've been on for five years...yeesh.

I hear you there Troop. Forums are way better. You get to trade ideas and topics and there's more than one opinion.

I think I will be staying at this forum, I am a one forum type of guy, that is why it took me so long to join this one after I was on the Les forums. And now that I am on this one, which seems to be doing better because it is less publicly known, I don't think I will be going back to the other. We all know who we are, its like a family here Very Happy

What is everyones thoughts on the WIKI Survival Guide? (on Les's Site)

I think the concept is a good one that everyone contributes, but in the past when I have made entries to WIKI's they get edited and the concept I was trying to illustrate disappears. Also sometimes the content goes from fact to fiction when entries are made.

What do you think?

It would be decent if not everyone could edit it.

Or they would have to provide evidence to the originating author, who could then add the information if it proved true

WIKI sites have to be monitored real close and backed up often. I've seen entire sites disappear when a WIKI bot came by and altered the entire site.
Nothing like thousands and thousands of lines of span instead of the information you were looking for. Sad
Since Les's people can't seem to keep a BB going, I doubt they'll have much luck with a WIKI site.
