Yup! I get two Thanksgivings actually. One up here and then another for the American one. I'm going down to visit my family for the American one this year, first time in three years, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Huh, that's something I didn't know. I thought thanksgiving was a U.S. phenomenon. I know other countries have harvest festivals but that's pretty much what Halloween is.
What are you Canadians giving thanks for? You guy's have your own pilgrims or is it something else entirely? Just curious.

In 1578, Martin Frobisher held a feast in what is now Newfoundland to give thanks for a safe voyage from England. Prior to that, farmers in Europe often held harvest feasts. In 1621, Pilgrims brought the tradition to America.

Cool thanks fellow American brothers and sisters.
Yep ours is a little early but I like the time it is. For me its kind of a celebration of Fall coming. I am thankfull for this season (Fall). Its a great season and there is so much to do. I cant wait until i'm done school so next year I can spend more time outdoors.
I didnt have oven turkey because my oven broke, so we had microvae pieces of turky. They wernt bad I guess. Oh and I also got stopped by an undercover cop. So it wasnt the best thanksgiving but what the hell i'm happy to be alive.

Linsleyk, I'm going down around Halloween, but doubt I'll see my brothers as we're going to be pretty busy. I am, however, going to a concert with my cousin and her husband the night before Halloween. I'll be down for the American Thanksgiving and will see all three of my bros, plus my mom and niece and nephew. Probably my dad too.

Thanks for the info there BushRat. That's a pretty interesting bit of history.
Sounds like our Thanksgiving parallels your's pretty well, at least down to the Turkey.
Sorry your turkey day didn't go to well there Trooper. At least you didn't spend it in jail. For whatever reason you got pulled over for
