After watching a number of Ray Mears episodes, I must say I am surprised of how useful palm tree leaves can be.
You can make a great roof if you cut and weave the leaves together. They are pretty strong and hold up great agaisnt rain.
They also work great as blinds, flooring, cooking materials etc.

* I really enjoy Ray Mears as well. He has great tip's on all situations *
I liked when He & a friend built a canoe from scratch, that was a great episode.

I agree! I always liked Ray Mears! I remember watching his shows before seeing Les...
