Just a general thread for saws or anything that resembles a saw. A good saw (folding) is a must have when in the outdoors and makes gathering fire wood and clearing brush away. Some good saws are (from what I know):

-Gerber saws are excellent quality
-Lee valley has good saws
-Fiskars saws as well as telescopic ones

I'm sure I am missing some good ones but there's a general idea of good saws. Any other talk about saws are welcome too Cool

I have one of the Gerber folding saws. It comes with a fine and coarse blade. It is really a great saw. I was really surprised by how fast it cuts through branches. I was trimming branches from my spruce tree in front with it. The branches were about 2"-3" it would only take 10-15 seconds to get through it. Razz

I went to a place called "3 Vets", it's an outdoor store and I bought a Coghlans sierra saw (big version, folding) for $9.99. Great price so I picked one up Very Happy

Probably cause Gerber is better trusted brand Very Happy If I was willing to shell out $30 bucks for a saw then I would for sure go for the Gerber one, it's definatly worth the price Wink
