Boreal Forest. :]
I started watching the show by accident too. I was watching Mythbusters or Dirty Jobs or something along those lines and didn't feel much like going to sleep. There was a brief little promo for "Survivorman" being up next and it looked pretty cool. I am pretty open to watching whatever is on Discovery Channel, so I gave it a shot, and I have been hooked ever since. 
It's taken me forever to find an online community though

Boreal Forest for me too. It was a couple of years ago maybe. I remember visiting one of my brothers and he was all "You gotta watch this show!" He's an avid outdoorsman and this is on his top list of shows. Well, maybe after his hunting/fishing shows. So anyway, I get back up to Canada and find it on OLN...but it seemed this was the only episode they ever seemed to play. In fact, I think it's on again tonight.
