It was an 'Ok" episode I guess personally, but not up to the same level as the others, plus Les wore that realy weird hat haha.
I don tknow it didnt seem like that much happend in it, I think there could ahve been more.

I think it was pretty good. The main thing is the shelter could have been built better.
I like how real it was, and it felt like Les did what most anyone would have been done in most area, but was able to be a little more productive.
Plus the Buck 119 is nice

I liked the episode but can't believe he only tried one fishing line. He had the material to make many more and increase his odds. With all the net he had he could have fashioned some sort of fish/crab trap. Also I think I would have eaten a lot more of the sea plants before I'd have risked eating that old disgusting fish.
I was surprised at how much stuff he found washed up but none of it done him any good really. I wouldn't have waisted time trying to make a fish hook out of a glass bottle. Not when there was so much wood he could have fashioned some out of. That bottle would have made a better water holder.
I don't know how it is in Alaska but here in Florida I can get a good meal out of the ocean's shoreline. Just couldn't believe there wasn't some shellfish or other crustacean he could have easily gotten at low tides.
Just seemed to me that he wasn't trying to hard. Then again if he had the show might not have been more than watching him grow fat eating salmon. This way we did get to see him eat more wild edibles and that nasty fish.
Still it's a good show to watch, just not one of his best ones. I'll watch it again just to see him scarf that disgusting, nasty fish. (YUCK! )

Got that right.
Like Troop said, it was just "OK". Not the best.

I just saw this episode, I liked it but I would have liked to see a little more survival techniques, that fire thing was cool though. The Buck looked nice too

I agree with your fish anology.
Ray mears caught like 5 fish with the traps he made, I think Les could have made more. Also after he set the traps he should leave them for 1-2 days

It didn't really seem that he was trying that hard to catch a fish.
What did he expect the net to do?
And when he had the fish tail/bait on the plastic hook it was just resting against a rock. It wasn't even in the water.

It seems he had the right ideas but not enough time to use them all, problem is he was doing too many things at once

Hey what did you think about about Les eating raw meat? The one he just found.

It made my stomach wrench more that it did when I saw Bear Grylls eat that rotting zebra meat.
It was a pretty sick looking piece of fish.
