Ne one have a Springfield XD?

I am in the market for a pistol, I recently got my CCW here in arizona and am now looking for a pistol to carry when i am camping and the such. I also like the idea of having it in the house for protection. I shot an xd 9 at the range a while back i am just trying to get some input on the gun, you know pros and cons.

The lines of a Glock, with the grip safety of a 1911, where could you go wrong? I have shot the .45acp model and liked it a lot. Very smooth action right out of the box, and it seemed to shoot where I pointed it, meaning the instinctive shooting was easy with it. I think you would be very happy with one. If you hit up Scottsdale Gun Club I believe they have the .40, and the .45 there for you to rent to try out. Idea

I have a Glock 9mm and a Springfield XD 40. Both good weapons.

I will probably be purchasing a XD 3" for CCW.
You can't go wrong with either

I'm a Steyr guy myself, but actually I'm getting ready to add an XD-9 5" to my collection, for competition.

The XD's are beautiful handguns, and wonderful on the range.

For CCW I'd go the 3", as tfisher indicated.
