This looks more practical, since most devices take AA batteries or some form of AA batteries.

Wow, great link offroad, That is pretty cool, your right when you say it's more practical than using huge batteries

Well a good fire starter kit should always include steel wool. You can use the stuff for lots of things. You can always use wires, and duct tape, and a little cotton. Look at the POTATOE fire starter video to see how that works.

Hey Guys..

I use this same method with a AA mini maglight..

simply unscrew the lens, pull out the bulb and insert two pieces of snare wire where the bulb wires go...

Touch the wool to the leads and you are in business...

With the newer maglights, you can unscrew the head, remove the bulb, and with a knife, pop the round piece of plastic off, you then have access to the terminals Very Happy

no need to pop that plastic cap off,, simply access them via pieces of wire....
