I noticed that also. The episodes seem to be cut short of the seven days. Well it is reality!! Stuff goes wrong. His rescue team had to be rescued (with him also).

Les has a wife and kids, and he cant screw up. I wonder how he gets life insurance, if any?

offroad your totally right, when it comes down to it its just a show and his life is more important, and obviously thats a good thing. I also notice they take less chances at the end of the episodes so that saftey is a priority. Now that hes a big celebrity there are probably bigger limits and whatnot. That always happens.

Pretty disappointing he was only out for 5 days, they could have picked him up by helicopter after the 7 day duration was over. (locating by satellite phone)

No prob dave, just go to the link and put in Kalahari and Amazon and you'll be able to watch both and be up to date. I haven't been able to view them on the tube so thanks you tube. By the way, off the grid is on there too, I liked it but wasn't the best thing I've seen on Les do. Let me know what you think.

Labrador is awesome!!! I love that episode. It's too bad that the sea ice melted and he had to be rescued.

Hey Muska, i got to see O.T.G. When it aired on the tube. I thought it was good. I like the whole idea of doing that.
So it was cool to see someone buy land & build the place up. It wasn't a survival show but I think it was still a good heads up on how to get > OFF THE GRID ! Smile

I think the show will be popular once some big disater happens, its only a matter of time before something catastrophic happens. Of course it could be as early as thsi year, or as late as 1000 years, but hey, its still good have a back up plan. Plus its good for the enviorment and saves you money Smile

To be honest, This was in fact the weakest Survivorman episode.

He stayed in a cabin, Had food available, Had a Survival Kit and of course, Dogs to keep him company.

The only real challenges were The Cold and The Cameras.

Still, I enjoyed watching it.

You are right I noticed this too, he was stacked on supplies. For 5 days it was a bit much for such a show but if he stayed the 7 then it would be good. So they had the right thought in mind just it changed.

Ya, wasn't anything too fancy but it was a fixed blade.

And Tel,
Your right, he was stacked with supplies, he didn't really have food though, the food was for the dogs or else they would starve, besides that he was pretty much fine when it comes to supplies (Axe, sleeping bag, survival kit, dogs for moral, folding saw, multi-tool, fixed knife, extra clothes) and he did stay in a cabin. Despite all of this this is one of my favorite episodes Very Happy

the snow episodes are always great. for me anyway, i find them much more entertaining then the warm climate episodes. fire and shelter are always a must. i wish he could of spent more time around the last camp/shelter he made, and maybe got some food.

hey tel, what more would you like to have seen? The man could have died in this situation even with all that gear. Seriously though.. he had to be rescued. I don't think he had anything more than anyone else who would be out dog sledding would have....
