New Tamahawk on the way. |
|
Well, I orded this guy tonight, should be here next week. I was looking for something in the style or my riflemans hawk, but light and more packable. Plus my Masterhunter won't feel so lonley.
Cant wait to try her out, give a nice little review as well.

Yeah, This is going to more usful then a new knife. I allways have plenty to choose from, but as to choppers not so many. I wanted something light, fast and tuff. 5150 carbon can do that for me and 19Oz (just over a pound) is very light and fast so Im set. I loved my riflemans hawk, It was just to heavy (32oz,2.5lbs?)
You know, I know its coldsteel and all, but thinking back on the times of useing the riflemans hawk, I have beat the complete crap out of that 'hawk, I've dug sawd for a walk way, I cut many, many trees drove stakes, Just abused it with out anycare at all and its still going strong, I really cant wait for the Trailmaster to get here.

I think Colt meant "do you have a link to the tomahawk" because he can't find it on their site.

It looks great, I'm not that fond of Tomahawks though, I don't know why, they look cool but I wouldn't really want to carry it, it looks REALLY heavy, although an axe is probably the same weight right?

My wetterlings hunter is 1 3/4" head, Im 250lbs 6' and I personally dont have a problem with carrying it, this Trailhawk is goig to seem like a blessing, it weighs in total 19oz. 16oz is a pound, so my wetterling weighs in total about 38oz (31oz is the weight of the head, just estimating the handle weight)
So this is actually a very light 'hawk, but with still enough chopping ability to be usful. My BK7 weighs 12oz.
