> IMO, you can never carry to much. If you dont have a problam carry it ! than take it.
My day pack with no food or water for the day weighs about 10/12 lbs. With 3 liters of water & food for the day.
15/18 lbs. I dont even know its there, i carry it all the time. Nothing worse than being put into a position|and you DONT
have the gear on you

What does IMO mean? And when you say day pack, do you mean to tell me that EVERYWHERE you go you carry 10/12 lbs of equipment??? But if you don't mind it then that's good to be prepared. 10/12 lbs for me would be hard for me to lug around everywhere I go.

Yes Sman, when i leave the house, its in my car, when i hike its with me, duh.
do i take it in resturants ? no, thats just silly. Once you start to always pack something like that you dont even notice the weight. Sounds like you need to be tuff'ined up make you more prepared for a " Survival " situation.
You should become one with your gear

I know having my PSK with me has been a real boost to any situation. Had the power go out at work on one of our insane thunderstorms. A good bright Cree LED light was amazing in the darkness. Plus If someone were to fall, or trip and cut them selve's (luckily they didn't) I could have taken care of them.

You bet ya Fonly, its about being able to take care of other people that are not prepared.
I was told this as a kid from my Dad. Dont be the guy that can't help, be the guy thats ready to help.

Yeah, I mean personally I carry a FAK that made for a City enviroment. In most cases your going to have small cuts, scrapes things of that sort. But there is the case of more severe problems, that is why I carry enough extra padding and tape for two (2) Ballistic wounds, entrance and exit wounds, which also helps for hunting season. An unfortunate thing to happen, but its a possibilty I have acounted for.
