"Into The Wild" |
|
I purchased "Into The Wild" - Jon Krakauer over a year ago but have yet to start reading it yet. I plan to tonight. Here is the gist of the book.
 | | Into The Wild. In April 1992 a young man from a well-to-do family hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. His name was Christopher Johnson McCandless. He had given $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, burned all the cash in his wallet, and invented a new life for himself. Four months later, his decomposed body was found by a mosse hunter... |
I'l let yea's know what I think of it when I finish with it!

Sounds good. I'll have to see if they have it at the library.
I'm actually supposed to be reading a book right now for a book report, but haven't picked one yet. Better late then never I guess, lol.

I started reading this book on Saturday, and I finished it Sunday. Impossible to put down. I'm going to post a review eventually.

Daffy,
This is one of my favorite books, and OGTL is right, impossible to put down. I actually re-read it every year or so.
Krakauer is a great writer, and it's a quick read.
On a side note there's a movie coming out soon, based on the book.

Yep, the movie is starring Emile Hirsch, from "The Girl Next Door".
I finished up "Into Thin Air" so now I'm on going to start on "Into The Wild" tonight after "Heroes" airs.
