Redi-Edge sharpener. |
|
I havn't really been a fan of the "V type" sharpeners, but I really don't have a choice because I can't sharpen a knife on a stone that well (not razor sharp, but I can put a utility edge on). I went to Gander Mountain earlier and picked up a Redi-Edge sharpener since my RAT-5 was getting dull. The Redi-Edge put a very nice edge on it with 5 or 6 strokes on the sharpener. It's not the nest edge but I really don't think I need my field knife to shave the hair of fmy arm when it's priumarily used for chopping and all that fun stuff. Anyways, if you guys can't get a edge with a stone like myself, give Redi-Edge a try.

Im not to bad at useing a stone to get a pretty good edge on my knifes.
But i also use a V-sharpener on the knife i use alot i just drag it across twice to keep the edge there.
The one i have is a - Smith's. Thats all it says on it. It has coarse carbide at one end & fine ceramic on the other.
It was $ 10.00
