I defonatly woulda died. Me and a friend of mine made an igloo the winter before last and I had that much sweat on me you could ring out my shirt. We did build one big enough for two people thoe and it was warm inside. But as les says in cold climates, "you sweat, you die"

+1 for the swamp episode. My next favorite is the Utah Canyonlands.

Swamp I would say is the most unique episode due to the fact he catches so much food, its a good one.

The picture of Les Stroud cooking the ground squirrel in the Canyonlands episode is the wallpaper on my work computer.

I've noticed that the episodes are a little different on my dvd, compared to watching them on Discovery Science Channel. The dvds have Les giving a filmed commentary between scenes, the aired shows in the US do not. Les narrates the show but you don't actually see him talking between scenes. On the Lost at Sea episode the ending on the dvd does not show him getting picked up but the episode that aired in the US shows the boat coming to get him and he narrates that there was some type of politcal turmoil that caused them to get him a day early. Also in the US aired episode he narrates that he put his phone number in a bottle and threw it out to sea but the dvd version just has him throw the bottle then it shows a print on the screen that says that he left his number in the bottle and then the episode is over and cuts to credits. Granted, I have probably watched the show too mant times to notice the differences in the aired show I've taped on vhs and the dvd version but honostly there isn't ever anything else on tv worth watching anymore. Especially when you have children. Did the show in Canada air like what is on the dvd or like what I described airs here in the US?

A little differnt.

In canada there was no censoring or cutting out the eye ball eating.

But it is a little differnt in the swamp then in the dvd.

So its alittle differnt yes

so you only got to watch the half hour episodes that? On OLN Canada, they are the same as the dvd, they are an hour long.

I dont think they ever showed the half-hour epiosdes in Canada, not sure why, but it was good that way.

I think they will show the full hour episodes in the USA at the start again though for season 2

Actually, I was referring to the the full length 1 hour episodes. The half hour episodes being different would be obvious. At first only the Discovery Science Channel showed the full length episodes and Discovery Channel showed the half hour edited shows. Now that it is very popular here in the US, Discovery shows only the full length episodes. But either way the full length episodes I have taped here in the US are different than the dvd set my wife got me for Christmas.
