As do I. Very good presentation of a very important issue. As a scientific work it has a few problems, but taken overall it makes an increadibly convincing argument, and it's surprisingly entertaining for Al Gore.

Hey, hey now! Let’s not totally knock global warming. There is some good that can come out of it.
I only live a couple miles from the gulf and about 14’ above sea level. My property will be worth a lot more as water front. That is if a hurricane doesn’t get it first.
And what about the Earth’s core? If it cools too much and looses its magnetic properties we’re all toast. Global warming should slow that some.
I’m sure if you think about it, you can find some good that will come out of it. Remember, this isn’t the first time the Earth has warmed. Or the first time it’s undergone a mass extinction. For all we know this is nature’s way of ridding the planet of an over prolific parasite (us). I have no doubt that nature will take whatever is left and create more new and wonderful things. Except for cockroaches, those stinking bugs will still be hanging around (I hate them bugs).
I think I’ll watch the show anyways.

Great movie! I was someone who would recycle, use low energy appliances, etc anyway. I too didn't beleive there was much of a problem and I thought that this was just another cycle. But after watching this movie I now feel differently.
I now try to think harder about what I'm doing and how it'll affect the environment. I'm not going overboard or anything just trying to make small, smart choices that should ultimatly lead towards me leaving less of a carbon foot print on this earth.

I've never heard Al Gore before this movie and so I have come to realize that:
A) He is intelligent
B) He has a consience
C) He can string together more that two sentences that uses words bigger than "evil doers".
Why didn't he get elected again?

Seriously, I never heard him speak before this movie, being Canadian it really didntmatter who was the president of the USA. However after seeing this moive i'm surprised they picked a guy who thought internet was plural "Internets" while the other runner up is trying to save the world.
I agree, he's smart, aware (biggie), and the biggest one I think is that he's devoting his life to stoping it, so he actually is trying to make a solution. Now i'm hearing about his concert, its suppose to have 100 bands or so playing, and it suppose to make awareness for gobal warming. This is suppose to be bigger then Live 8, I hope to God that this actually has some affect.

"get a good education or you will end up in iraq" doesn't mean the troops are stupid at all gear. It just meanst that If you are going nowhere in life that you are probably going to end up there....

Yeah, if global warming isn't taken cerial, then manbearpig may come out of his hibernation.
But yeah I think that this is a normal progress thing the earth does, but i also agree that we have sped it up a lot.

THat episode was pretty funny....
But have you noticed how much more talk there is about it on the media? It was almost never talked about, but in the last 2-3 years its exploded. This is good, hopefully there is something that can still be done

 | | how can they perdike global warming but not th enext days weather |
Well if the next days weather was monitored, and didn't change so fast they would be able to. For instance out here we can have thunderstorms all around us, but as soon as they get near us (AZ) they seem to avoid the valley altogether. That is unless something strange happens and we get super hot then the storms will move in. But with global warming you just monitor everything for a few years then look back and say, "well this day twenty years ago it was X degrees, five years ago it was y degree, and this year it was Z degrees." After so many years, and everything is constantly changing it's easy to read. People have been documenting the temps in their area for hundreds of years.

Here's a link to the whole show:
http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/4/3381
It even has Asian sub titles for you to read and best part is it's free!
Don't need to waste any cash on the DVD even if it's only 1 yen in china.
