Shaving |
|
Would it bother you if you we're in a survival situation for a few months and you couldn't shave?
I'm a young guy and I not partial to facial hair. I shave twice a week.
This applies to the ladies here, too. Would it bother you if you couldn't shave your legs?
It would definitely bother me.

I've got a beard, wear it year-round, so it wouldn't bother me. But yep, the first few weeks when growing one can get pretty itchy.

nope not at all. I'm fine with not shaving in a survival situation. most girls wont admit it but we really really hate shaving. the cuts, the razer burn, having to do it so often... in fact it would be nice not to have to wary about it for a while. plus what is more important shaving or living? I go for living.

in a survival situation, i think we'd all have a lot more to worry about than our 5 o'clock shadow. however for me, even though i'm 25, my shadow is more of a 48hour type thing.....

Yeah, I get your point. It's not a major concern or at the top of anybody's priority list. I just wondered if it would bother people.

Are you saying it takes 48 hours to notice stubble?

Lol...
Just in case, does anyone know how to shave in a survival situation? other than haphazardly scraping away at your face where the hair is... It should work but it should also cut you up pretty bad!

Take a sharp knife and carefully scrape the side of your face.
Kind of like a straight blade shave, I guess.
However, I do not recommend trying it.

Remember: Crocodile Dundee was only pretending to shave with a knife.

Sounds like a new survival tool. If only they made straight razors that you can also start fires with..............
Not shaving wouldn't bother me since I have a beard. I keep it somewhat trim by shaving my cheeks and neck, so I would just look more backwoodsy if I couldn't shave.

haha, i'll get a bit of stubble by the end of the day, but nothing worth shaving for 48hrs. even then, it grows in so slow i won't shave right away.
