My Self Made Pipe |
|
I did alittle reading about making a pipe. Found a good site. A good wood to use for the bowl is Cherry.
And the stem you use Elderwood. It has a natural hollow center, its like foam ? really weird, but works perfectly.

Work fine on my end. I like it, I don't smoke, but there are always bubbles!

Cool, glad the pics all worked. I dont smoke either Azarcher. But !, i do like the smell of pipe Tobacco & cigars.
I will by some Tobacco for my pipe, i think i might take it up just once in awhile. Like when im camping, sitting around the fire. In my Canoe on the lake.

I'm the same way. I don't smoke, but I do enjoy the smell of a fine cigar, and sometimes participate with one maybe once a year or so.

Here is another Pipe. It not a 2 piece pipe. This is one piece of cherry wood. Its a natural bend in the branch, it worked out cool.

> lol, Oh i was waiting for this. I dont smoke nuttin, i mean nuttin. I know all around the USA & Canada we are known for the Great BC Bud. Not I. But i am going to get some nice tobacco to try out my pipes. There are many kinds & types of tobacco. Im looking for a kind of sweat wine type flavour. The last time i tryed a pipe was over
15 years ago. So im going tobacco hunting some time in the week. Now i guess i'll have to make a nice pipe pouch for my tobacco & pipe to take with me Fishing <''}}}}}}><

cool.. wish i could help you out on some good pipe smoke, but for me all i know is how good marlbro lights are after meals and workouts. a bad habit i've got to kick btw.
and how long did it take you to complete one pipe, and what tools did you use? all of those came out extremely well.

Thanks BL.
The one piece pipe was the longest to do. I wish i had taken picks right from the start.
The tools i used were a Knife, drill press, and of course the drill bits to aug out the center of the bowl & stem.
Because of the little branches jutting out it was tricky to carve away the bark.
The time i started this one till i finished was about 1.5 hours. I was supprised that it came out all right.
I kept thinking because of the knots in the wood that it would split or crack. But it didn't.
Cheers BL
