My sincere apologies to the board, the admins, the mods, and our members and guests... I occasionally have joked about alcohol, such as with the recent birthday party, but my comments were always meant solely as good-hearted, light-hearted jesting within our community, a sense of camraderie, team-building, and all that. I'm very sorry if anything I've said has had any effect on needing this new rule. 
Quite honestly, it didn't dawn on me about members' ages, and their various sensitivities, including that some members are below-age... I obviously could not know, and I've thought of all of us as mature, even-keeled adults... I've never thought of any of us as children... 
Of course, the forum rules will be respected.
