Nope, I couldn't find Survivorman at Wal-mart in Canada (BC), they also said that they don't carry it and have never carried it. I looked it up and the release date for the survivorman DVD in stores is June 5 2007.

I went to an enormous new Walmart in Toronto today and they didn't have it. Looks like we have to wait another week from what Survivorman tells us.

So, has anyone found it in a Canadian wall-mart?

My reason for going to that wasteland: "Walmart is the embodiment of evil, but I go there anyway because i'm a poor college student"
Sometimes they do have decent stuff though...dirt cheap grill grates for building a smoker were my latest find....and of course I have to go get this DVD now...

Man if they're selling the first season that cheap now I'll have to buy it. Just to be sure those are the hour episodes not the half hour episodes Discovery started showing.

I dont believe they make DVDs with half hour episodes, only full hour

Half hour episodes? Makes me almost glad the Discovery channel up here doesn't air it. I'd be bent out of shape big time!
As for the DVD, of course I'm going to buy it, but make a point not to buy stuff at walmart for the most part. It's not even cheaper than other places anymore (I've actually brought receipts in to check), and just for my own general distaste of the store. I'll try Future Shop, but they're getting close to being on my personal vendetta list because they almost never have anything I'm looking for when I go in there and their staff is less than desirable.

Yep down here in the US we got the half hour episodes. After a while they started to show the full hour episodes, but I still have a few I haven't seen for the whole hour. They usually do end up cutting a lot of interesting parts out of the episode though.

That bites. I guess when I watched it down there it was always at my oldest brother's house and he had a dish, so it wasn't even Discovery. Well maybe it was but we watched the full hour.
One show I really wished was up here though is that Ghost Hunters. Awesome show! One of my other brothers taped about six episodes for me...I tried to find the DVD but of course couldn't up here. I refuse to use credit cards for stuff like that too so haven't ordered it online...wish I could use my debit card up here like I could down in the States, but we can't. It's a hassel getting a new debit card for my American account so I haven't bothered, or else I'd order it up.

Well they did start with the half hour but now they only show the full hour. It's gotten a lot better.

I havnt seen the half hour episode being in Canada (Thank god) I would have gone nutts. How the heck can you fit 7 days into 22 minutes and make it interested??

Of course the show is still good but you miss some essential parts. It sometimes leaves you asking how did he do that of where did that come from. For example in the Georgian swamps episode he just appeared with the torch. It didn't show how he made it.

So it's just edited down to that, and not broken up into two episodes? Man!
And yes, of course it's still good...just wouldn't be enough for me.
